The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of TurkishPetkimspor (4-2) in Izmir. Hosts were edged by Greek Peristeri (5-1) 87-85 . It was a key game for the top position in the league. Peristeri shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. American guard Ty Nichols (190-1996, college: Keene St.) notched 21 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and center Dimitrios Kaklamanakis (205-1994) supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Peristeri's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 15 points and 6 assists by American point guard Stanley Whittaker (183-1994, college: Keiser) did not help to save the game for Petkim . Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus (208-1996) added 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Petkim players scored in double figures. Peristeri have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bosna. Petkim at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with PAOK and Reggio Emilia.
